Introduction to the Raspberry Pi-3B Plus class. Part1

The Class starts on February 2nd, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. till 13:00 P.M. will continue on the 1st Saturday of each month for three months. Ending on April 6th, 2019.

Their is no charge for the class. I only have openings for 5 students: unless you already have a Pi-3B-Plus along with monitor, keyboard and mouse (these are required for their to be more than 5 students) must limit size to 10, even with your own hardware. I also need to have per-registration, if unable to get at least 3 students I will teach at an accelerated rate and will last much shorter.

One other requirement, for any students under the age of 17 a parent or responsible adult well be required to be in visual vicinity of the student at all times and for all classes.

This class is positioned to familiarize you with the Raspberry Pi-3B Plus and its hardware and general software environment.

This class is NOT a PROGRAMMING class. If you need assistance with programming we may be able to you at times other than right before, during or right after class. Also there others that may be able to assist.

After the class is over(daily or end of class in April) we at the Linux Install Fest (whom is sponsoring this class) will most every 1st Saturday of each month to assist you and anyone else with assistance if necessary.

In this class we will cover the hardware on the Raspberry Pi-3B Plus, how to install software (Operating System) and general setup of languages, communications and how to update and upgrade the Raspberry Pi. Documentation pertaining to the hardware will be provided. The very first 10 minutes I will cover the hardware on the Raspberry Pi-3B Plus, please take notes as I would like no interruptions on this part, but as the rest of the class will be open for your questions at any time (just write down questions at beginning).

If you would like to purchase a unit prior to class please check with:

ebay.com

I am sure you can get cheaper units, but their quality is great; remember this is on the Raspberry Pi-3B Plus. Also if you go this route you can use most TV/monitor using a HDMI input and you will also need a keyboard and mouse (keyboard and mouse "wired cheaper") at Big Lots for $20.00 or less for both). And you have a complete computer.  Monitors starting with 13" roughly from $64.00 (16") is good, but 19" is recommended for daily use, check amazon.com (larger OK also, just takes up space).

If interested in the Class please place "Pi-3-Class" as the Title/Subject line email Benny,
to pre-register
